Ventura Outrigger Challenge—Saturday, June 8, 6am–4pm, Harbor Cove Beach
This annual outrigger race also includes games and a beer garden.

Fourth of July Street Fair—Thursday, July 4, 10 am–5 pm, Downtown Ventura
Join 50,000 or so of your friends and fellow Ventura residents for this exciting Independence Day event, which includes: a variety of food booths; several stages of live entertainment; a Kids Zone with rides and inflatables; a Pushem Pullem Parade; and handmade arts and crafts by more than 200 artisans. This 44-year-old tradition celebrates the theme of, “We have liftoff!” for 2019 in honor of the 50th anniversary of NASA’s Apollo Program.
Ventura Fourth of July Fireworks and Picnic—Thursday, July 4, 9pm, Ventura College
“Now in its 24th year, the Ventura 4th of July Fireworks Show & Family Picnic is presented by the Ventura Rotary Club, and 100% of the event net proceeds benefit charitable community programs right here in Ventura!” Festivities include live music, food vendors, a Kids Fun Zone, and a spectacular fireworks show.
Steel Drum Saturdays Seaside—Saturday, July 6 and every Saturday all summer, 1–4pm, The Harbor
Let the beachy sounds accompany you as you shop, dine, and play at The Harbor during these summer events in Ventura.
Hot Harbor Nights—Sunday, July 7 and August 4, 3–6pm, Harbor Cove Café
This monthly summer event features classic cars, live music, and great food, all enjoyed with harbor views!
Seaside Kids Club—Thursday, July 11, 18, and 25, and August 1 and 8, 11am–noon, Ventura Harbor Village
Kids 3–10 years old will love this club, with crafts, entertainment, and seaside enjoyment.
Ventura Music Festival —Thursday, July 11–Sunday, July 21, Different venues throughout Ventura
This festival brings a number of different shows to the city, highlighted by their annual free concert. This year’s act is Incendio, often described as an “acoustic Santana” and performing a family-friendly, open-air 90-minute concert in the park on the lawn across from Mission San Buenaventura.
Surf Rodeo Music & Surf Festival—Saturday and Sunday, July 13–14, Ventura Pier
“Surf Rodeo is a music festival, surf contest, obstacle race, bikini contest, outdoor street fair, mechanical bull and kid’s corral rolled in to one super fun weekend.”
Shoreline Half Marathon, 10K & 5K—Sunday, July 14, 7am, Seaside Wilderness Park
The 7th annual running of this all-flat Ventura beachfront course is a certified Boston Qualifier marathon—and all runners get a free glass of beer and a plate of street tacos post-race!
Tequila & Taco Music Festival—Saturday and Sunday, July 20–21, 11:30am–6pm, Downtown Ventura’s Plaza Park
“A two-day celebration of tequila, tacos, award-winning margaritas and great live music!” Includes tequila sampling on Saturday, July 20, 11:30am–3:30pm and Mas Margaritas from 11:30am–6pm on Sunday.
